THE LAKE OF FIRE
First I want to say how good it feels to have liberty and to no longer be under the thumb of scary teachings like the whole “burn forever and ever and ever” one. It feels good to know God is in control and that God makes EVERYTHING beautiful in its time. He takes everything (ignorant/carnal) mankind makes ugly, and God makes it appear NEW and “BE-U-TIL-FULL”!
Now there was a time, THE LAKE OF FIRE to me, was a scary, ugly place, a lake of horrors indeed. Oh yes, Man has made the LAKE OF FIRE as VILE as the heart of carnal man itself… However, God changed all that in me, and He is going to take this UGLY LIE and turn it into the WONDERFUL TRUTH, that is TRULY “The Lake of Fire”.
I first want to point out that ONCE the LIES of MANKIND are let go (like the one they have created about the LAKE OF FIRE), and the TRUTH of GOD embracedTHE WORLD WILL CHANGE.
Let me explain why the teaching of infinite torture, promotes literal torture, prejudice and hate in the world. Why painting God as a god that acts like a Villian creates more Villians than Saviors in the world.
If your “literal” Father raised you to hate the JEWS, as Hitler taught many Germans to do, you would think you were doing your Father’s WILL be exterminating, torturing, and ridiculing them.
If your “literal” Father taught you to hate other races, as many of our fore fathers taught their children, you would grow up buying, selling and beating slaves, you would rape, and even murder them the instant they wanted to have rights and to be treated with respect. You would eradicate any race that was not your own, like the Indians. The reason? Because your “literal” Fathers taught would have taught you, it was the WAY.
If your literal Father taught you to hate anything, History proves you will hate. When a child is CONDITIONED to believe a certain way, UNLESS that child matures and changes their beliefs, they will do and be exactly what they were FORMED to be, by their hateful, bigoted, misinformed and biased “literal” Father’s of the world.
Now, you may question what this has to do with the “Lake of Fire”. Let me spell it out for you.
If you are TAUGHT and CONDITIONED to believe that YOUR FATHER in HEAVEN will endlessly torture (worse than any human has done before) those that don’t believe as “he” wants them to believe. THEN YOU will believe it is okay to do the same!
No, you say?
Do a google search of how many people have been killed in the name of God? It is going on today, it has been going on since the beginning of RELIGION. Whether you are a Jew, A Christian, or a Muslim, more sects than not, of all these faiths are engaged in what they believe to be a holy war. First let me point out what the word HOLY is described as being in scripture, then you will see how disgusting it is to place the word HOLY in from of the word WAR.
Timothy 2:8
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up HOLY hands, without wrath and doubting.
Holy hands according to the New testament, have no wrath or doubt. To be Holy is to be without spot or blemish, God is spirit and TRUTH, God’s spirit of TRUTH is HOLY. But most believe God to be a monster, far away, hands off, and incompetant. They believe a lie. Let me share what most believe about our HOLY GOD. “Most believe God will NOT finish his creation in Victory, but after being defeated by the very same devil he created, he will then have sour grapes and send a majority of his creation to a place of endless torture. That is unless of course they do what BENNY HINN, and other charlatans have done, say JESUS IS LORD, you do this and you can lie to the people, rip them off, and have affairs, live anyway you want. They believe anyone else who is not part of the club get the FIRE FOR ALL OF ETERNITY! HA HA HA HA!!!!!” – Now if this alone won’t make you run for the hills and want to find another God, or make you an atheist I don’t know what will.
Look, if you believe your FATHER in HEAVEN hates, then YOU WILL HATE… If you believe your Father in Heaven condemns, then you will condemn. If you believe your Father in Heaven tortures and kills, you will do the same.
John 16:2
They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. 3And these things will they do unto you, because THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN THE FATHER…
But if the TRUTH of your FATHER IN HEAVEN is revealed, then you will do as your father does.
There is a reason Jesus said there should NEVER be an end to your forgiveness, if you live by the sword you’ll die by it, to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
It is because Jesus, knew the TRUTH, as the TRUTH was revealed WITHIN HIM, AND THE IMAGE OF GOD was seen of all men. And that IMAGE, LOVED, FORGAVE, WAS PATIENT, AND LONG SUFFERING.
Jesus did not come to CONDEMN (as we see so many preachers condeming any and everyone that is different, like gays, democrats :), those of varying faiths, etc) No, Jesus did not come to CONDEMN, Jesus came to SAVE! And I am here to do the same.
So, I’m about to tear ANOTHER MOTHER of a FALSE BELIEF down, so join me and help spread the word. Because the longer we believe God TORTURES and does not HEAL, the longer MANKIND WILL DO THE SAME.
So let’s get right into it…
Revelation 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:14,15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15: And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Ah, the Lake of Fire, for many a horrifying place to be sent. This “Lake of Fire” is burning with BRIMSTOME, and the ONLY place that mentions THIS PLACE is John’s Book, “His Revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Now there are so many misconceptions (Beliefs- that MISS the mark – and CONCIEVE a LIE in mankind’s heart) about the Lake of Fire that I would have to write a whole book on the subject. But not today, I am going to keep this paper as brief as possible.
So let’s start by pointing out what THE LAKE OF FIRE is NOT!
HELL – Many claim that the Lake of Fire is actually a place of infinite torture called HELL. Well all one needs to do is LOOK up and re-read Rev 20:14 to find out that HELL is cast into the Lake of Fire, to rid God’s creation of it.
Why? You ask. Because HELL is not eternal, it is not infinite. Hell also simply put, means “grave, hidden place” and we’re all in it people. If you are in the Flesh than you are in the GRAVE (Hell) UNLESS you are born of spirit. Then you are IN HEAVEN (living WITHIN YOURSELF and not putting faith OUTSIDE YOURSELF). Truer words were not spoken about HELL, Hell is your IGNORANCE. And yes there is much suffering there. Hell is a MINDSET, it is a place we enter spiritually/emotionally when we believe the LIES from our carnal mind/ego and flee from the Truth of Christ within. THAT IS HELL. (See my article To Hell with Hell) – But for those who state that the Lake of Fire is another name for HELL, wake up and smell the BRIMSTONE (which by the way is an essential ELEMENT FOR LIFE, it’s not only a purifying agent, but it is also NECESSARY FOR GROWTH) – Any chemistry teacher knows this. BRIMSTONE, which is commonly known as SULFUR, is a GOOD THING! Not a band thing! Take a look at the definition of BRIMSTONE/SULFUR
Sulfur, in its native form, is a bright yellow crystalline solid. In nature, it can be found as the pure element and as sulfide and sulfate minerals. It is an essential element for life and is found in two amino acids: cysteine and methionine. Its commercial uses are primarily in fertilizers, also known as BRIMSTONE
So much for it being a scary smoky terrible thing. Brimstone is ESSENTIAL for LIFE AND GROWTH and PURIFICATION!
And just as Hell (our ignorance) HAS PURPOSE for our growth, as pressure makes the diamond, manure helps the flower, irritation makes the pearl etc… For a time, Hell will be around, but even this God will deliver us from, and that’s when it is cast into THE LAKE OF FIRE. So the TRUTH will grow, and every lie we have believed will be “burned” (not literally, allegorically) away.
Don’t you find it interesting that so many teach, that the “names” that aren’t written in the Book of Life are PUNISHED by being cast there, but never once mention, that HELL is also cast there?
SIDE NOTE: Name = Nature… These aren’t literal names like Bob, Pamela, Ezekeil, etc, that are cast there, but NATURES in mankind that need to be purified. (Hate, greed, lust, envy, etc)
Listen, my hope is that people will understand that WONDERFUL, THE LAKE OF FIRE IS. Our GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE, which WILL CONSUME US, until we are the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIM. Now, look, don’t think only a select few will experience the LAW OF FIRE. Scripture states very clearly, EVERYONE will have their part in it.
That’s right, every single person on this planet, experiences the LAKE OF FIRE. Oh what, did you Blind Religious Leaders forget to mention that minor detail? Take a look.
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
THE SECOND DEATH = LAKE OF FIRE.
Revelation 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Now pay attention here because if you’re ears aren’t ready to hear this, you may have to re-read this paper at a later date.
Notice who is thrown into the SECOND DEATH, fearful, unbelieving, and liars…. These three alone describe every single person on the planet. We have all been fearful, unbelieving, and we have all lied and probably still tell those little white lies, and get scared, and lack faith. For example, we may lie because we don’t believe someone we care about will understand, we are fearful yet… You see? Now stay with me… watch the next verse.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Those who have BEEN RESURRECTED (see my article on the True First Resurrection) the SECOND DEATH (LAKE OF FIRE) has no power… Why? You ask.
Because those who have taken part of the first resurrection, have already TAKEN PART OF THE SECOND DEATH. Meaning they have DIED to their carnal nature/themselves spiritually. They understand that they reap what they sow, when trouble comes their way, they understand it is to purify them further.
You see, our troubles, what torments (tests) us, is there to better us. Once you understand this, you will no longer be hurt by the SECOND DEATH.
This LAKE OF FIRE is NOT A FUTURE EVENT, as some would claim. It is a NOW event. Each of us, has our part in the LAKE OF FIRE. By now, I hope you see this is GREAT NEWS!
For some those words “LAKE OF FIRE” inspire SUCH FEAR… But if God doesn’t give us the spirit (thought/words) of Fear, then where is your fear coming from? … The CARNAL ANTICHRIST SPIRIT within, that’s where. And guess what, the FEARFUL are thrown into the LAKE OF FIRE, until they FEAR NO MORE.
When you are done reading this essay, I pray you will never again worry about the lies meat-heads have told you about this place, and you will thank God, because it is HIS FIRE that is doing it’s work in you, for you. HE that began a good work in you, shall complete it. Meaning…
1 Timothy 2:4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
And yes, that word ALL means THE ENTIRETY OF HIS CREATION, shall be SAVED… How are we saved? = BY, coming to the KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. What are we save from? = Our ignorance
You see it is the TRUTH that sets us FREE. The WORD (Logos/Truth) of God saves us… This WORD is better understood by knowing the TRUE DEFINITION of what LOGOS really means… You can thank my friend “URIAH” for pointing that out to me, as we spoke yesterday. (By the way, be on the look out for his book of poetry which will be released soon)…
So we are saved by believing and TRUSTING the WORD OF GOD. Word is an English translation for LOGOS, which literally translates to: “Use as respect to the MIND alone. Reason, the mental faculty of thinking, meditating, reasoning, calculating account, regard, considering, reckoning, answer or explanation.”
You see the WORD of GOD is not a LITERAL MAN people, it is the MENTAL FACULTY of THINKING, REASONING, CALCULATING, the Understanding of an ANSWER or EXPLANATION, it is the WISDOM that is WITHIN A MAN, that saves him… The LOGOS, is the THOUGHT OF GOD’S TRUTH, the UNDERSTANDING of who God is, and who you are in relation to God (ONE).
This is how we are saved. This is why, the scripture states GOD WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED. And God does this, by having ALL OF MANKIND come TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH.
Timothy 2:4
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
But how on EARTH would any of us do that, when we have been formed in a SEA OF DECEPTION AND LIES?
The answer is THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Now before I even translate these words to show you how wonderful their true meaning is. I want to point out how we are saved, from the scriptural account.
Jesus saves right? Amen… And who was IN Jesus… GOD!
2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
And who is IN ALL OF US?
Colossians 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory
You see, CHRIST is IN US ALL… In John 1, we are told, this TRUTH is in everyone from the womb. The LIGHT shines in DARKNESS. Meaning the TRUTH is in ALL mankind, and it is shining even though many are ignorant. This is why there are many good natured people who do wonderful things, but don’t even believe in God. But this, I must admit is a mystery, and mysteries needs to be found out.
You never find out the REAL ANSWERS in a Mystery Novel until you FINISH the novel itself. So why would this mysterious life, (The Kingdom of Heaven is a Mystery) be any different in you?
You will not KNOW THE TRUTH and be SET FREE from your CARNAL SELF, until you come to the END OF YOURSELF. Until you turn that last page and see as you are seen. HINT: if you SEE as you are SEEN, you are SEEING YOURSELF.
And this, this my friends is the purpose of the LAKE OF FIRE. To help us SEE as we are SEEN. As it purges away EVERYTHING that is not WRITTEN in the BOOK OF LIFE.
The word WRITTEN (Grapho) means to record, so things are not forgotten, BUT REMEMBERED. In other words, everything that is NOT TRUE, everything that is not to be REMEMBERED is destroyed.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your REMEMBRANCE, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Everything that IS TO BE REMEMBERED, will be REMEMBERED, and we will no longer think on those things that are NOT TRUTH. We will only think on those things which be of God.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Now, let me point out something about the word FIRE.
Fire is used to BURN DOWN what we no longer want or need, like Garbage. FIRE is used to purify precious metals, like Silver, etc… FIRE is a wonderful allegory of how things are MADE CLEAN, and freed from the dross and impurities that keep it from being whole.
FIRE is used to kill germs. Fire is used to aid in the healing of wounds. FIRE is used to cook food, to kill bacteria, to make things profitable, etc… FIRE is a good thing. This is why, Christ baptizes with FIRE… Oh you forgot about that did you.
Don’t Forget God Holds Us Over The Hottest Part of the Flame LIKE A SILVERSMITH!
And what does the word BAPTISM means, TO COMPLETELY SUBMERGE. So we are completely submerged in this FIRE to rid us of anything that is NOT TO BE REMEMBERED. This FIRE = TRUTH = The SPIRIT OF TRUTH/GOD
Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with FIRE:
Wait a minute Jacob… Then FIRE is a GOOD THING?
That’s right and not just that, sparky, FIRE IS A GOD THING!
Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
Have you ever heard someone say, “I got a fire inside me that is burning me up!”
God is the very TRUTH that CONSUMES US. When we leave this TRUTH for the lies of man, we BURN with our SUFFERING. The process is no fun. As I am sure, the SILVER does not like being held to the hottest part of the Flame until all of the impurities are released from it.
Zechariah 13:9
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and WILL REFINE THEM AS SILVER IS REFINED, and will TRY THEM AS GOLD IS TRIED: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Silver is REFINED with FIRE = God Refines us with THE LAKE OF FIRE (HIS CONSUMING SPIRIT)
Gold is TRIED with a Touchstone (tormented) = We are Tormented (tested until pure)
“CHURCH” this is how God chose to deliver us.
Do you know why the SMITH must never take his eye of the SILVER as he is holding it over the flame… Because he doesn’t want to lose any of the SILVER, he wants only to burns away everything that ISN’T SILVER…. Do you know when the SMITH knows that the SILVER is totally pure? … WHEN THE SMITH SEES IT’S IMAGE IN THE SILVER!
God does the same with us. He TESTS (torments) us until he sees HIS IMAGE clearly. And so then WE can be LIVING EPISTLES to be read of ALL MANKIND.
He could have chosen butterflys and daffodils to make us pure, but he chose the FURNACE OF AFFLICTION.
Isaiah 48:10
Behold, I have refined thee… I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
I know it sounds awful. But think about it. We are stubborn animals by our carnal nature, and nothing is a better teacher than what we suffer by our own hands.
Like that time I stuck a paperclip in the socket, OW! But guess what, it was a great lesson I learned last week, now I understand never to do that again. (snicker, snicker)
You see, God is not mocked whatever a man sows he shall also reap.
One day, all will come to the knowledge that God is in control, and we will stop hating, debating, we will no longer be biased or fearful, we will not tear down, we will build up, EVERY NAME (NATURE) not WRITTEN (remembered) will be BURNED AWAY. Until all that is left is CHRIST!
Now, let me share with you the definitions of some of these words. Like torment, Lake, etc… so you understand that this SECOND DEATH, is a process we ALL endure. And it is there for OUR GOOD.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Please remember, God ONLY has thoughts of PEACE for us, to GIVE US an EXPECTED END (victory in/as CHRIST). And God ONLY creates what he THINKS. It is THOUGHT that Creates, and HIS THOUGHTS TOWARD US are for PEACE and an EXPECTED END (THE END of our ignorant ways)
So let’s look AGAIN at what is really CAST into the LAKE OF FIRE.
Revelation 20:10

The DEVIL, BEAST and FALSE PROPHET. THE CARNAL MIND is CAST there. As well as DEATH, HELL, and EVERY NATURE in MANKIND that is not TRUTH, PEACE AND LOVE (fear, hate, murder, greed, lies, etc)
The question is why? Why are they CAST there?
The answer is, to RID us from the POWER they once had OVER US.
Now, look I want to point out what some of these words literally mean. Let’s start with LAKE.
LAKE – Comes from word liðmnh – Which was derived from the word limh/n (which means HAVEN)
FIRE: God is a comsuming Fire, fire is used for offerings, and mainly used for purification
BURNING: Which means to LIGHT, or CONSUME
BRIMSTONE: comes from the Original word Theoin (which speaks of purification, growth, essential for LIFE) the word is taken from the Word “Theios” Which speaks of God.
TORMENT is BASANISMO which means: testing by the touchstone, which is a black siliceous stone used to test the purity of gold or silver by the colour of the streak produced on it by rubbing it with either metal
Torment means to TEST the PURITY OF. It does not mean TORTURE.
Think about it, if we are talking about literal torture here, and literal hell and literal DEATH, how can DEATH be tortured?… HELLO? IS THIS THING ON? TORMENT, TORMENT, ON, TWO, THREE… Get it “Testing, Testing, One, Two, Three.” 🙂
So “THE LAKE OF FIRE BURNING WITH BRIMSTONE” is actually “A HAVEN where GODS SPIRIT consumes US with his Presence/Truth and TESTS the purity of our hearts, until we are clean and pure.”
This is why only the wicked natures in man are sent there, the LAKE OF FIRE is the very place that frees us from DEATH, HELL, THE FALSE PROPHET, LIES, HATE, THE DEVIL, AND EVERY EVIL THOUGHT.
Just as there are TWO BIRTHS recorded in scripture. The First is PHYSICAL and the second is SPIRITUAL. There are also TWO DEATHS IN SCRIPTURE, the FIRST DEATH is what we experience in ADAM and the SECOND DEATH is when that ADAMIC NATURE (the carnal man) is put to death, so the TRUTH OF CHRIST WITHIN can rule and reign again.
So today let us all THANK GOD for His Spirit which is a LAKE OF FIRE, and let us joyfully allow this FIRE to CONTINUE TO BURN until GOD is seen IN and OF US ALL!

My family loves seeking God’s truth and have for years been a part of a church family, but recently understood through the Holy Spirit that He is within, always has been and all we seek to know about Him as well as Ourselves can be found by asking the Holy Spirit within. We have always believed Christ is the physical manifestation of the invisible God and served as a perfect example of God manifested in the flesh. I have enjoyed your essays. Early on I read the Bible as literal and wouldn’t put a Christmas tree up, held sabbath on saturday, had our son circumcised on the eighth day (we’re not Jewish) etc. etc. As we have walked in His truth for decades now, I am aware that His word is true on all levels, both literal as evidenced by science (check out reasonstobelieive.org) and through poetic allegory. That is why it is Truth– through and through 🙂 I am enjoying the freedom of knowing His truth within and that its not necessary anymore for me to have all the constructs and partitions and processes for hearing and knowing His Will and His Truth. We don’t go to church every sunday and attend every church function, instead we live and experience life together and when God puts people in our life that we can serve and bless, then we walk in obedience and do so. Our church family probably sees us as fallen away or wayward brethren (forsake not the fellowship of believers) or something of that nature, then again maybe they get it and aren’t judging us. Either way its nice to carry God within my meat tent and understand He is available always and its great to be with believers, but not necessary to be there all the time. Life is so beautiful and I pray you never forsake the adventure of knowing Him! Sounds like your heart grieves for Christians that like myself have been looking outward and have created a life that is not free in Christ, but tethers and enslaves them which is exactly what He came to free us from. Keep on keeping on kind sir!

Adam separate the spirit from the body. Christ reunify thew body to the spirit. A earrthly body does a earthly soul. A heavenly body make a heavenly soul. The heavenly soul is made to live in the new paradis of God by Christ. To less, no more. Serge
About the lake of fire. Remember that the non universal water flood destroyed all giants (children from the sons of God and women) in the region of the Mesopotamy. Those giants came from the sons of God, so they were part of the convenant of God (they were SONS of God). And they were in rebellion. Peter did talk about a fire flood that were auppose to destroy man who were in rebellion with God. As we known, the adultery Jerusalem and her habitants were destroy by fire. It was the flood of fire that Peter did annonced. Those jews were throw by God in this lake of fire. The first flood was like a see of water, because it cover a large region. Judeah was a smaller region, so the fire flood were compare to a lake. Those jews received a earthly punishment. But they went also to heaven. Hi, The apo. was all accomplish in the first century. That is absolutly certain. Historian Flavius Josephus explain that in his own way. The new Jerusalem is set in heaven since year 70. This is the new paradise. A heavenly new earth and new heaven (sky). Adam as condemn all man to die. Before Christ, the second adam, all man spirit were store in the storage spirit (the hades). In the Bible, the dead was the separation of the spirit and the body. Since Christ, the dead is no more because Christ mission was to give to all man a new body, a heavenly body, made for heaven. That why John, in his revelation, explain that dead and Hades will cease to exist. All that happen in year 70. So since 70, man receive a heavenly body immediatly when his earth body cease to exist. Another wonderful article. Explained so well. Seems to me even a child could understand. Amazes me how some want it to be an eternal punishment place for the people they would like to see go there. I wish they could realize that is not love. I thank God for you Jacob. I recently went seeking counsel for my phobia’s. Not surprising they pushed medications for me. I did try one day of taking these pills that are supposed to take my anxiety away. But all it did was make me like a zombie and steal my energy, I was lethargic. I really just wanted to try talking to someone. I happened upon your video’s on you tube and Im starting to let go of my fears. I am learning so much. I like that you have no fear, you dont hold back on what you believe to be truth for any reason. I glean from your articles and video’s. Please keep writing. Bless you!

Thank you for your insight. I find myself in agreement with your point of view. I have looked for others who realize that the book of Revelation is just that “revelation”. It was written in the Spirit and should be translated in the Spirit not literally. I love what you wrote here and many of the other articles you’ve written that I have read. I will have to set aside a day or two to read more.
I look further to reading your future insights and revelations from the Holy Spirit. I believe as you do about the Kingdom of Heaven being revealed within. The revelation that you have written is much deeper than what I have heard before and written with such clarity and scripture to back it up. Thank you for that!!!!
Jacob, your teaching may not reach the stubborn fundamentalist stuck in dogma. But for those who’s eyes are being opened it is a light in the darkness. Is this thing on?! 1-2-3. I love it! I am still wrestling with whether there is a literal hell or not, but what I will say is that there is no need on focusing on it if we focus on God, right? Very good. I will say I am leaning this way because I have a deeper understanding of Who my Beloved Friend is. I just don’t see destruction as part of His character except our allowing ourselves to be purified by His fire. I wrote about “as silver refined in the fire…”, so I am definitely leaning in this direction, just never made the connection with purification and lake of fire. I have food to think and pray about. I love your heart, Jacob. I hate manipulation, too. In fact, manipulation is sorcery.
One thing I would mention is the word “word”. I’m sure you know about rhema. Logos I call a past word or word in the tomb (which can be resurrected if needed.) When Jesus was being tempted, though, with turning the stone to bread, His response was “man does not live on bread alone but on every rhema that proceeds out of the Father’s mouth. Rhema is a right now word for the moment. Just as a bird feeds her young by the mouth so are we fed by God’s mouth. Since God is Love, Life, Faith, Direction, Self Controlled, Kindness, etc. When we listen to His right now words His character is deposited within us to replace what just got refined out of us. When one sees the truth of God’s fire it is only fearful to the carnal man because he does not want to be consumed. The spritual man rejoices counting it all joy when the fire comes as he knows it is burning all the dross from the flesh man.

Hi Jacob! I love that you see that we all take part in the second death and that you see the connection between the second death and the first resurrection. Paul tells us that as many as have been baptized into Jesus have been baptized into HIS DEATH (= THE SECOND DEATH) and because we have been baptized into His DEATH we shall also walk in the newness OF LIFE (by knowing the power of HIS RESURRECTION = THE FIRST RESURRECTION). We have not only been BURIED WITH HIM…. we ARE RISEN WITH HIM!! Praise the Lord!!

Sir I am not offended in the least by anything you might say I am just letting you know it is not the truth. Many people like yourself answer in a condescending manner when you doctrine is challenged acting as if you are in some upper echelon of spirituality. Your very words contradict your own teaching. You say if you are wrong God will change your heart, but according to what you teach there is no wrong in that regard. Saying God wills a thing is taking scripture out of context. Does God will murder, rape, pedophilia? Certainly not. Men have free will to choose this is why men will blaspheme God While suffering and not repent of their deeds(Rev 16:11). Jesus said men will not come to the light lest their deeds be exposed. Jesus also said if you will not hear the law and the prophets you will not hear a man raised from the dead (Luke 16:31). Not everyone wants or will want God. One can’t approach God except by faith so when He appears there is no possibility for faith to exist. It will be too late. Sure being baptized by fire is painful no chastening seems pleasant at the time but painful. Although when we are chastened of the Lord we are judged by Him that we be not condemned with the world. Teach what you will sir but remember to be not many teachers knowing they will recieve a greater condemnation. One more thing Jesus did not come to bring peace but a sword. Knowing the cost of eternity I pray you will receive no rest until you put this false teaching away from you.

Thank you for your honesty. You bring up some very good points. Rape, Murder, all horrible things, torture even worse… Most done in the name of Religion perhaps worse still. Yet, spiritually this is going on daily, molestation spiritually as well as physically we see in many man made churches even today. So very sad. Greed, Pride, Prejudice, etc… so very, very sad. I write in all my articles, that I am not the authority on a thing, God is, I usually give a disclaimer saying I could be completely wrong, God knows I could be. This is why I always leave the charge to the reader to seek God for the answers not me. To answer a couple of points you made, Jesus did bring the SWORD (the word of God, the Truth) which divides man from his ignorance. You said not everyone wants God, I believe scripture states that No One truly wants this, which is why God draws us, but he also first subjected us to vanity (romans 8). Now I don’t believe we have free will (choice without influence), I believe anyone who says othewise is very misled, but I do believe we make many choices and we reap what we sow, which is why in the end God’s will (to have all saved and come to the knowledge of the truth) happens. Every child learns you touch a hot stove enough times you get burned, so th child will stop touching the hot stove. I believe this law of reaping and sowing is a great principle which cannot fail. What you do unto others you do unto yourself. This is why the greatest of commandments is love your neighbor as yourself. Which is why we should not get offended with each other, even if our views vary. Also Joshua, if you have read any of the other posts on her you would see I dont answer in a condescending manner as you believe I would, I’m not like everyone else, I am unique as you are unique and yet we are both one, which is why to out down what you write to me what in affect be an attack on myself. I believe you may have misunderstood what I wrote, God does harden whom he hardens, like Pharaoh who killed, tortured and enslaved God’s chosen (God did that) but this was to show his power in the earth. To state that God doesn’t allow killing, rape, or worse is to say that God doesn’t exist. If it happens, there is a purpose for it, I believe that purpose is to show man how corrupt he is without God. Once again reaping and sowing. Now I don’t dare state that I know it all, I barely state I know a bit, this is simply what I believe. I believe God is in control, he will have all men saved, and that even the most terrible villian will be corrected and put on the right path to freedom. But even this villain, as we see with Joseph brothers (were doing God’s will) they beat him, left him for dead, sold him into slavery, and yet Joseph forgave them and said, YOU DID NO DO THIS TO ME IT WAS GOD, because he understood without his suffering he would never have been able to rise up and be a savior in the land. Do I believe rape, murder, and worse is wrong absolutely, do I believe man makes choices, absolutely, do I believe man is in control absolutely not. I any event, please pray I DO get rest, even if what I believe is incorrect. Remember scripture teaches we must pray for even our enemies, not curse them, and I am not your enemy Joshua, I am your brother in Christ, either dead in ignorance or alive in Christ, but either way I am your brother. So pray for peace for my heart and my families heart, and I will do the same. And let’s leave the cursing to those who do not know the love of Christ. Peace to you my friend. Why then did Jesus say “fear Him who after He has killed has the power to cast into hell, yes I say to you fear Him! If the lake of fire is such a wonderful place then why did JESUS say to be afraid of going there? Another thing is Jesus did come to condemn. He condemned the works of satan one of which is homosexuality. You have twisted the scriptures and should repent.

We are all at different points in our walks, and God pre-ordains our steps. my greatest hope and prayer is that God will teach me the truth no matter what the cost. If I am wrong in what I have written, I have no doubt then it is for good cause and God will change my heart, if I am right, than I praise God and he will turn your heart. You see either way you slice it, God is in control, not me, not you… He wills all and does all for his good pleasure…. And just for the record when you are baptized with FIRE, when you are IMMERSED in the LAKE OF FIRE, it is not a pleasant experience, there is suffering in our lives and that pain we feel when we are in error, is the suffering and torment God is causing as we are being purged from our ignorance. Don’t be so quick to say what is of and not of God, remember God’s ways are above our and they are PAST finding out, so this advice we should both take. Which is why a majority of the time I give a disclaimer saying, don’t take MY word for it, go to God… and with that advice I also won’t take YOUR word for it, but I will seek our Creator. I find it easier to just ignore Revelation, or to consider it as a piece of literature rather than something canonical, than to try to make sense out of it. Besides, Rev 22:18-19 prohibits making any changes to the text, which might include interpretations beyond the literal.
Also the prophecy did not occur during John’s lifetime. Basically, the apocalypse didn’t happen. I think this alone voids the rest of the text.
But if one has to make sense out of Revelation, considering that it is part of the canon for many Christians, I think your interpretation of it is very good.

I pretty much see everything in scripture allegorically (not to say that things didn’t literally happen)… I think many forget the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ is not a Future book, but a book that John wrote on Patmos to describe symbolically how Jesus Christ was Revealed to him, and will be to others. The Kingdom of Heaven is indeed a wonderful mystery for us all to SEEK and FIND the Truth to. I always pre-empt my papers with a disclaimer. Just because something rings true to me, never means it is true… That’s why we should always SEEK for ourselves, God answers everyone. Thank you for reading my blog. Yes, many of the things you and I have said on this topic are similar. I am always amazed at how the Holy Spirit works in each believer to come to the Truth. You have offered here several new avenues for me to consider concerning the Lake of Fire. Thank you for directing me to your blog. Love IT!!I read this story a few years ago that told of a ladie’s Bible study group that was studying the refiners fire,so one of them volunteered to go watch a silversmith at work.
He showed her how he carefully attends the fire to make sure the silver is not burned up. Then he continually skims off the dross as it comes up.
She asked him how he knows when the process is finished. He said that’s easy,”when I see my reflection in it”.
