“Satan Revealed”
(Quick note to you all, as always I write my essays very quickly and do not have the time to go back and edit or revise. So please forgive any grammar, wrong words, or spelling mistakes. I hope you can get to the heart of what I am saying without me having to write it perfectly. Enjoy Jacob)
This past weekend my wife encouraged me to write about a certain passage in scripture, where Jesus explains that a house divided against itself cannot stand. Now when I got to this passage I THOUGHT i knew what I was going to write about. But like everything in life, you really don’t KNOW something until you know it. I thought I understood the passage and didn’t think it had more to offer in terms of a hidden meaning, or a deeper understanding to what is really being said. But just as I sat down to write this I opened up to the passage I am about to share here, and WHAMO, a new understanding hit. And it blew my mind. There is nothing better than seeing a scripture verse you have read a thousand times come to life, and now the dead letters of that page are alive and you feel the same because of it.
Of course, the passage in scripture I am writing about is this…
Mark 3:24-26
24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
Pretty cut and dry, pretty simple to understand, right? Well, that is what I thought too.
I was about to write a simple paper on the importance of unity in our relationships, in our homes, in our country, and more importantly within. But when I looked at that Chapter in Mark, I knew I had another paper to write. Not about the importance of unity in a home, we all know how important that is, but something of greater importance. And I will briefly touch on it before I get deeper into this paper. But what I plan on opening up, is the next verse we find.
Mark 3:26
26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Now let me first tell you who this Satan character is. It is not some spooky monster who is out to steal your soul away. It is not an all-powerful being that is causing all the suffering in the world. In fact, the only Satan there is, IN THIS WORLD is “Your Carnal Ego”.
Satan is who people have begun to believe themselves to be. It isn’t who you REALLY are, it is the nature you have adopted as your own. And this nature is adverse to your true spirit, which is God.
That’s right, many people say Satan is the adversary of God. And that is true, in fact the name Satan is literally translated as an “adversary”. Why the word Adversary doesn’t replace every instance of the word Satan is scripture is just another reason there is so much confusion in the world when it comes to spiritual things.
Now I have written a paper already on how and why Satan is simply man’s ego. But let me take a moment and show you why.
Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would
God is Spirit, and the adversary of the Spirit is the Flesh. And the Flesh is an allegory for our carnal mind. The Flesh results in DEATH (Ignorance, suffering), the Spirit brings us LIFE (wisdom, understanding, rest)
Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live
Flesh = Death and Death = operating out of the Carnal Mind (Ego ignorance)
Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace
It should be clear that the Flesh and Carnal Mind is the same thing. And so, it shouldn’t be a stretch for you to now see that Satan (which is your adversary) is actually “WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE” = IGNORANT EGO OF MANKIND.
When Peter told Jesus that he wouldn’t let him die for the cause of eternal life (to know God the Father, and he whom God sent)… What did Jesus call Peter?
Matthew 16:23
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men
Jesus was is a Symbol of the TRUTH of God revealed within man. Turns and calls Peter SATAN! At that moment Peter was an adversary/satan to Jesus. But that is not what I want to point out. Many have taught that Satan hates God’s creation mankind. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. Read the last line in Matthew 16:23 — YOU CARE NOT FOR THE THINGS OF GOD, YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT THE THINGS OF MANKIND!
Who else cares for worldly things? THE EGO OF MAN that’s who! Now when you really grab hold of what and who Satan is, and understand that we, each of us, have this great enemy inside of us…
Micah 7:6
… a man’s enemies are the men of his own house
When you understand who YOUR ENEMY is, then it will be easier to Flee from its deceitful ways. In Peter we see that Satan was simply Peter’s ignorant soulish worldly thoughts. In Judas we saw the same. In fact every time Satan shows us, there is a child of God Satan show up with. Because each of us have believed a lie. We have believed we are OUR EGO, we have believed we should be ashamed, guilty, we should be greedy and try to get ahead, we should be selfish, we have believed we should suffer, and struggle, and worry, we have believed all sorts of nonsense. Because of our Ego/Satan we find ourselves in hiding like Adam, scared of God, thinking we are somehow separate from God, we have believed we are NAKED and should be ashamed… And who told us that again?
The Woman (Our intellect) – I know many say EVE is man’s soul. But Adam is the Soul, he was made a Living Soul The intellect of man is the mother of all creation. Our thoughts create. And when that deep sleep of ignorance was put on each of us, our intellect went out trying to understand things on its own and it ate from the wrong tree. Now our eyes have been opened to a new world, a dead world, where the knowledge of good and evil is all we know about God. Our intellect was tricked by SATAN (who we thought ourselves to be/who we thought we could be)… We were tricked by the idea that to BE WHO WE ALREADY WERE we needed to do something. And so we got trapped in this thinking.
This is what the temptation of Christ is all about. Turn Stones (which is the religious law) into bread (spiritual nourishment), Worship me/Satan/ Your Ego, declare your EGO to be God and you can have it all, throw yourself down from the heights of understanding, do whatever you want, live however you want, you’ll never dash a foot against a stone… We are tempted day in and day out, by our EGO. It is that voice in our head, that we believe ourselves to be.
Everytime we have an argument, our EGO feeds us more and more reasons to continue the fight. Everytime our back is against the wall our EGO tries to convince us that our life is not worth living. Every negative thought in our head, is from the EGO/Satan, and it is the very thing that is holding us back from a life of peace. The EGO (who we think ourselves to be) is the reason for every horrible thing, it is the reason…. And for those who say, Satan is outside of us, causing us to do terrible things. I would like to point out, that every wicked thing in man, comes from within man!
Matthew 7
20And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Satan is not some monster outside of you. Satan is the Monster that you think is YOU! This is the corrupt ruler, the idolatrous king, the adulterous woman, and yes the Roaring Lion Scripture speaks of, these are all symbols of man’s carnal Ego.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
The roaring Lion analogy is used quiet often in scriptures. And you would be hard pressed to find examples where this “roaring Lion” wasn’t simply an allegory of how corrupt man becomes.
Proverbs 28:15
As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people
Proverbs 20:2
The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul
Psalm 22:13
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion
The Lion roars to make it’s presense known. It is said a Lion’s roar can be heard up to five miles away. Lion’s are killing machines, and they love to attack the weakest members of their prey, they also LOVE TO SLEEP… These are all great symbols of the Ego.
Now let me tell you why this is important. You cannot defeat an enemy unless you know who that enemy is, can you? So to continue to believe there is a being that is separate from you that is causing you all your problems will get you nowhere fast. To think that you can simply change into a better version of yourself (ego) and have a better life will get you nowhere fast. The only way you will move forward into the promise of God is to let that enemy of truth go.
Now here is where it gets tricky. And this is what that scripture a “House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand” comes into play.
If who you believe yourself to be, is Satan, and you operate out of your ego for a majority of your life, you will never be free from your suffering, if you don’t stop.
Now Jacob, what on earth does that mean?
Well look at the last verse again in Mark…
Mark 3:26
26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
In other words, YOUR EGO cannot cast our YOUR EGO. Who you ignorantly think yourself to be can never overcome who you ignorantly think yourself to be.
Now this is such an important piece of advice I had overlooked up until this point.
One of the things that has brought me a good deal of sadness in my life, is that I (as who I think myself to be) cannot simply get rid of the sadness in my life. And what has troubled me for weeks now is what I have seen so many people speaking about.
There was a time that few people would dare say that WE are ALL CHRIST! I have been writing about this for years, but still couldn’t understand why I still couldn’t overcome my troubles, my worries, my fears, my insecurities continued to torment me. You see, what many people are missing today, is what I too missed, MY EGO (WHO I THINK MYSELF TO BE/SATAN) can NEVER BE CHRIST.
Once again, man’s EGO has risen up and tricked the multitudes. Today more than ever we see so-called enlightened teachers and people stating that WE are Christ. At first there was great freedom in this discovery. But we have been tricked. This is why books like The Secret, and teachings on the Law of Attraction are so beloved among people today. Many are teaching that since we are Christ, we can create, we can attract what we want into our lives. BUT THIS WILL NEVER BE. Positive thinking alone will never free anyone from their troubles. For a moment you may think, this is great, “I” am in control oh what a great day we are living in. But then when trouble comes we still suffer, we still see our limitations, we still have fears and insecurities. The reason is, Your EGO is tricking you into believing that Your Ego/Satan is Christ. That’s right all these great teachings we hear about today have done nothing but transformed your ENEMY (EGO/SATAN/ADVERSARY) into CHRIST.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light
SATAN cannot cast out SATAN! If your Ego could cast our your Ego, there would be no EGO. But this DOES NOT WORK!
Only the TRUTH can cast out the LIE in your life. You cannot operate in a LIE and rid yourself of the LIE that causes you suffering and pain. When you do that, you simply believe a NEW LIE. You will embrace that LIE as truth and it will only make it harder to know what the TRUTH is.
YOUR EGO (who you think yourself to be) is not Christ (the power and wisdom of God) it has never been Christ (the power and wisdom of God) it is only YOUR EGO (the power and wisdom of Man).
And what should we consider MAN to be? A LIAR!
Romans 3:4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar
MAN’S EGO is a LIAR, and the FATHER OF ALL LIES! And Man’s Ego no matter how you dress it up, no matter how many times you call it Christ, will never bring you to the Promise of God, which is REST!
When you operate out of your EGO, you are still working to accomplish something. You try to trick yourself by saying, “If I only believe differently things will be different”, “If I (my ego) understands I (my ego) is Christ all things will be possible”, “If I just think on good thoughts only good things will come my way”… as great as that sounds, I have been there and done that and I am still no better for doing so.
We cannot change by trying to change ourselves into a better version of who we think ourselves to be. We can only be changed when we see the deception for what and who it really is. We can only be free by laying down our egotistical lives to pick up a true life of rest, faith, and love.
Simple repetition of certain words will never make them true. No matter how many times you say, I am Christ that is who I am, will never yield the true of who you are. It is simply another trick the EGO is playing on you, transforming who you think you are, into a new version of who you think yourself to be. And that is why my friends no one knows the true Kingdom of God, which is Righteousness, Peace and Joy and power in the Holy Spirit.
This new movement we see, some call it the Kingdom movement, is nothing more than a new religion with a new update face. It is nothing more than a bunch of people, simply saying I am not “me”, I am Christ as Me. It is the same old thing, with a different set of rules and beliefs, but it is still no the truth.
When Joshua was about to lead Israel into the land of promise, there were many that did not want to cross over. They had already come so far in the wilderness, they didn’t want to cross the Jordan. Which ironically means “To descend”, Jordan that is. To get to the promise land you must cross over from the lower idea of who you think you are, to who you really are.
But when you do CROSS OVER from who you think you are, to who you really are, you enter CANAAN, the root word meaning of Canaan of course means “To be Humbled”.
Very few people want to give up their “kingdom”, they want to still be in control, so their Ego plays tricks on them so they can continue to rule. Sure they may have overcome many nonsense religious teachings like hell and other ridiculous ideologies. Sure they may have received great revelation here and there called manna (even though they truly didn’t understand what it was), sure they may have escaped many of their enemies and became a great nation in this wilderness… but as long as they refuse to lay down their EGO LIFE and are willing to cross over into a place of humility and true surrender, they are still slaves of their false identity.
I understand today many seem to be making great spiritual strides toward this perfection we all say we have within. However, just simply saying “I am perfect”,”There is no more Sin”,”I am Christ” doesn’t cut it. You will NEVER be free as long as you are still ruled by SATAN (who you think you are). You will still face adversity and fear, you will still have pain and wonder why. You can put on the bravest of faces and say a million times that you are God’s child, but YOUR EGO is not God’s Child and can never be. God’s Child is hidden beneath the Veil (evil) of who you think yourself to be.
So with that being said, how does one find freedom? How does one outsmart that Fox the EGO? Well it certainly isn’t by trying to cast out your EGO with a new and improved version of your Ego. It is by understanding the difference between the thoughts of God, and the thoughts of your Ego. And resisting these negative thoughts until they flee from you.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
Only by laying down YOUR CONTROL of things will you ever be free. Here is the reason why. When the Religious of the day saw Jesus casting out devils, they immediately thought that the WAY TO CAST OUT DEVILS is by using the POWER OF DEVILS… Which means, the religious think the only way False Beliefs (devils) can be cast out is by SELF EFFORT. But look at what Jesus said…
Mark 3
22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
The Ego of Man cannot be used to cast out the Ego of man. If that were possible, none of us would have the troubles we face… No, this is not how to find freedom. Jesus than goes onto to say, NO ONE can enter a strong man’s house and spoil his goods unless that STRONG MAN is bound!
We need to bind that strong man. We need to keep our EGO at bay. We need to resist the devil at every turn. We need to stop think that who we are is in control, and we need to go to the one that is really in control. THE TRUE SPIRIT OF YOU, GOD! Because our FATHER is greater than our INTELLECT.
1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
So how do we know the difference between the thoughts of God, and the thoughts of our Ego and Intellect? How do we know the difference between the ways of the kingdom and the cares of this world? The answer is simple.
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind
The SPIRIT OF FEAR, is the same as saying the THOUGHTS OF FEAR. That is what Spirit is, THOUGHT. Jesus said, my words are SPIRIT and TRUTH. Words are spoken THOUGHT. We need to take our thoughts captive, we need to discern between the Thought of God and the Thought of Satan (the adversarial nature of man/the Ego). When thoughts flood our minds about situations in our lives that bring fear to our hearts, we must pray as Jesus prayed.
Luke 22:42
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done
We must bind that strong man, we must keep our ego from running wild and taking control of our emotions. We must understand that everything that is happening in our life is for our life. That “we” are not in control, God is, and if we don’t understand this than we will continue the cycle of suffering in our lives. We need to trust God, to take the thoughts of fear captive and cast them away. We need to ONLY allow the thoughts of peace take residence in our heart. No longer looking at others as enemies, no longer thinking we have a say in the things that happen in this world, no longer running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to put out every fire in our life. When we REST in God we see all that has been created in our lives and we finally say IT IS GOOD!
We can cross over into that land of promise, but we cannot do it by self effort or the vanity of new-found beliefs, we can only do it by becoming a house that is united with the only Truth there is, LOVE!
So everyone please stop trying to control everything in your life, stop looking at everything as Good or Evil and see that all things are working together for your good. Give up the fight, and you will be divided no more. Embrace the truth, that who you are, is nothing more than an idea, but who we really are is One God, in all, through all! When we see this, than our HOUSE WILL STAND TALL! UNITED ONCE AND FOR ALL!

Just a thought.. Since Adam is the “Living Soul”…is Eve who- came out of Adam- an allegory for the “Dead”(ignorant) Soul, the ego created by the fruit-seeds- of the Knowledge of Good & Evil?

Hi, Jacob- It appears to me that the way you explain Mark 3:16 that God cast satan out and placed him where this ego carnal mind operates and that when we are born again (the life of the spirit), becomes aware of this carnal mind and that is what is all about. Only the strong man can spoil his house which is Christ. I thought that Jesus accomplished this on the cross for us? but is up to us to find out who we really are in identifying ourselves in the two men. I believe that the Holy Spirit will unveil him to us if we are really born of the Spirit. it is a wrestling match that the new creation man will win victoriously!Jacob I do struggle with this scripture that if we say that we don”t have sin in us that we deceive ourselves and the love of the Father is not in us. This sounds to me that this is spiritual warfare as we grow in God. I love your essay it gives me something to ponder in my heart. Hi Jacob, Just wanted to let you know that I am convinced you have once again hit the Nail on the head! Its that “who I am in Christ” fully manifested that I am excited to see. We are rushing headlong into a time in history where the Sons of God must be revealed, for God has need of us. That was a wonderful article. I have tried many times to cast out my own ego. You are absolutely right, it cannot be done, but,…..”He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world”.

Hi Jacob! Does this mean that you no longer believe that when the Lord said: “I am the first and the last” that He is claiming to be both the first man Adam and the Last Adam? (Praying you say yes!! :))
If so, could I suggest that instead of trying to differentiate between who we “really are” and who we “think we are”, that we really need to “rightly divide” between who we “are” IN ADAM and who we “are” IN CHRIST?
There are TWO MEN with which we need to be concerned… aren’t there? So it’s not just about “one man” with “wrong thinking” but about a man who needs to be “born again”, for that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the spirit is spirit. The “first man” IS OF THE EARTH (born of corruptible seed) while the “second man” IS THE LORD FROM HEAVEN (born of incorruptible seed, by the word of God).
So it’s not that THE FIRST MAN (born of the flesh, born OF MAN) doesn’t exist and never existed… and who we “already were” or “have always been” is THE SECOND MAN (born of the spirit, born OF GOD). It’s that the first man Adam IS BORN AGAIN… BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, when God SENDS FORTH HIS SPIRIT (seen allegorically in Gen 2 when God breathed the breath of life into THE FIRST MAN ADAM’S nostrils). Right?
The “first man” Adam was “formed out of the dust of the ground”. He had NO LIFE in him until God breathed the breath of life into him making him A LIVING SOUL. (He still SINNED… and DIED… but that goes into more than I want to cover in this comment). The “Last Adam”, declared to be THE SON OF GOD “by” THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, was made A QUICKENING SPIRIT.
So, as I see it, it’s not just about a man and his ego… it’s about TWO MEN! Granted, they are TWO MEN “in one bed” (etc), but they are two men none-the-less. They “both” exist, don’t they? At least until dust returns to dust and the spirit returns to God who gave it?
What do you think? With few exceptions, I LOVE THIS ARTICLE! We have talked about this before and I am SO EXCITED to see this change taking place!! To see you speaking out about this this false teaching which says: “WE are ALL CHRIST”. ADAM IS NOT CHRIST!!
Now if I could just convince you that “who we already were” is NOT CHRIST… BUT ADAM… until God sent forth His spirit by which we were born again? Or am I misunderstanding what you mean by “who we already were”?

Hey Christine,
You’ve read what I have written enough to understand, the first man and the second man, are the same man. Simply one becomes ignorant and then that same one (man/humanity) becomes enlightened (born/brings forth a new understand)… Christ is not a man, it is simply the “power and wisdom” in God revealed to man, in man, and when this happens, that man understand he is more than who he once thought himself to be… But remember it was deceit that tricked the man into thinking differently to begin with. That we can blame the (for lack of a better word) the ego for, man’s idea or intellect, human reasoning, the snake, devil, satan whatever you want to call it. The EGO of man, is not the Man, it is simply the idea the man begins to believe is Him/Her… which is a lie. Two Men don’t exist, but two natures in man (one nature that tricks the very same creation into believing they are mortal being separate from everyone else, the younger brother/nature is the shephard – they are different beings but the same being with different natures and understanding)… So this article wasn’t really about that, it was about the enemy to that single man (humanity) that keeps the man or woman trapped in ignorance. The Ego tells us, the EGO is you, but all an ego is, is a construct of our ignorance… and this is done away with when the TRUTH of who we have always been is revealed. This is why Jesus says the Comforter will remind us what we have known since the beginning. We are as much Adam as we are Jesus, It is when we understand these two natures are actually one and the same that we can see everyone around us as the same. There only is GOD, there has only ever been God, so then the real question is, who are we? – In any event, I hope that clears it up a bit, as always I only hope what I write is true, I could always be wrong in what in write. Hi Jacob. Yes, I have read enough to know that you have said, in the past, that “the first man and the second man are the same man”. Based on my understanding of what you wrote here, I thought you had changed your mind and were now “differentiating” between the two. My mistake!! As I said, I get that they are two men “in one bed”… two natures “in one man”, if you prefer. But even if speaking of “two natures” rather than “two men”, I cannot see how they are “one and the same”, when they war against each other, when one is “life” and the other “death”. But I can’t really argue the point because I am now confused by some of your statements, as some of them seem to contradict others. Either you don’t see the contradictions or I am not understanding what you are saying correctly. I will try to read it again tomorrow, keeping these additional statements in mind as I do. Christina, I don’t think he means “one and the same,” but he means “one IN the same.” The first is you when you were dead (carnally minded). And the second is also you. Reborn from the dead, alive through Christ, because carnal ways, bodily desires, fleshly desires and ways, have been completely done away with and then only God’s will is practiced. Then that same man, who was once you, is no longer existent because you have found out who you are through the spirit, not who you used to be when you were dead (ignorant of the truth). One IN the same. It’s crazy what we’ve been taught, what we’ve been convinced to believe is true and what God really wants us to know. Jacob, I thank you for sharing! You’ve given me courage to follow God’s instruction and commands as you have. Thank you for your courage! You are brilliant, and your spirit shines. Hey Jacob….applauding your revelation…If we do not become greater than the greatest born of woman… (John the Baptist) which Iam sure Jesus was born of a woman…Than why is the least in the kingdom of heaven greater than John???… The spirit of Elijah avoids like the plague the so called churches of God…When the carnal mind says to itself…”behold the lamb of God (truth in its infancy) which takes away the sins of the world..and in another place “He must increase but I must decrease” When this truth is realized there is no greater pinnacle of achievment left for mankind. he then will pick up his cross and follow that lamb to its death…

For the most part, good stuff Jacob. As a child of God I want to encourage you to reconsider a couple of points which conflict with the Word of God. (1) The reality is a place of eternal torment actually exists, many call this Hell. I personally don’t care what you call it, I don’t want my loved ones or myself to have to go there. If you really want to deny this spiritual reality, you are tossing the Holy Scriptures out the window. Since you are quoting the Holy Scriptures in this article, do you really want to do that? (2) The flesh (i.e. our carnal nature) is definitely influenced, and in some, controlled by the evil desires of the evil one. But to suggest that the devil is only manifested through our carnal desires (which we are to crucify) is also a repudiation of scripture, see Job where the devil operates and causes destruction through both flesh and non-flesh means. Again, I enjoy the vast majority of your assertions because they are biblically and spiritually true. However, the above two very important truths have been twisted and therefore call into question your ultimate conclusion. Please be blessed!
Dave…there are many interpretations of the book of Job…Iam just going to ask you how you can say yours is right…First question I would ask is where is this place that the sons of God present themselves before God? Would that be heaven? For time sake if so, where is that?

Hell is very real. But it is not a place awaiting us in the so called future, it is in the here and now. The Greek word for hell is hades and it means THE PLACE OF THE DEAD. The scriptures state that ALL HAVE DIED IN ADAM, THAT ALL ARE RECKONED AS DEAD IN SIN. So, if we are all dead in the here and now, where are we? The answer is the place of the dead, HELL. Too many are caught up with physical death when it has nothing to do with anything in scripture. This is why Jesus said let the dead bury their dead. He said let the spiritually dead bury thier physically dead. The only death we need to be concerned about is spiritual death because we are not our physical bodies, we are SPIRIT. Hell is not a place of infinate torture, it is in the here and now. Scripture states it is appointed for all men to die ONCE, and after this is the judgment. Again, this is not speaking of some future grand judgment, we are judged in the here and now. Mankind only died once. That is, we only died to the truth of who we really are once and we are now all experiencing that death, hell, and judgment now. One day your physical body will indeed perish, but that has absolutely zero impact on your spirit, who you really are. You will come back to this reality for another experience and this cycle will continue on until your spirit, who you really are is fully mature. The physical body and brain is nothing more than a virtual reality suit for our spirit to experience this reality through and this reality is indeed Hell, the place of the dead. Some say Hell is simply a state of mind as if that somehow minimizes its existence. Yes, hell is indeed a state of mind. It is the state of our carnal mind which generates all of our reality here. Don’t take my word for any of this, do your research and seek out the truth. Hell is the here and now and it is for our good. It is in this reality that we are burned in the fire, which is also for our good.
Dave, thanks for the comment man. And as you said, most of what you say is wonderful, it’s wonderful you wouldn’t want your loved ones to go to such a place (which I see differently than most), but the question you should ask yourself is… If you wouldn’t want any of your loved ones to suffer infinitely, do you think God would. Let’s take that a step farther, would you create such a place to punish your own children or loved ones if they simply didn’t know you, or would you do everything in your power to show them love and try to draw them that way? I don’t know one parent that would want such a fate for their children, so the question becomes “If you then being evil(ignorant) know how to give good things unto your children, how much better would God who is perfect love give unto God’s children?” A simple study of the word Hell and it’s origins, would show you that it is merely an allegory for “the place of the dead (the ignorant/carnal) it means the “grave, hidden place” and you and many others, including myself find ourselves in this mindset. Jonah prayed from the belly of hell and was released, David made his bed there and was released, and the scriptures say God will not leave anyone there, he will deliver his children from the ignorance that has them suffering today… And this is accomplished when “hell” is cast into God’s consuming love (the lake of fire). I want people to know the truth about God’s perfect love, not the lies of man that were created to keep people scared, to justify hating others, and to allow people to become puffed up with religious pride. The doctrine of infinite torture hasn’t been around that long, speak to someone who is Jewish. the God is the Hebrews did not create such a place, man did, this is why there is no such teaching in Juadism, and Paul worshipped the God of his Fathers. Rememer the Kingdom (reign) of God (love) is a mystery, and mysteries need to be revealed, this is why Jesus only spoke in parable to the masses, why God opens his mouth in allegory and dark sayings, it’s a mystery and the truth will be revealed when you submit yourself to unconditional love. I hope that gives you a clearer reason why I don’t believe in such a place (anymore) I used to. “my people perish for lack of understanding” – it is the truth that sets us free. If your , and my and 7-8 billion more carnal minds ceased to operate there would still be a devil. When Adam and Eve were sinless there was still a devil. As you so rightly say though, he is not some pointy angular figure. He is not of this realm.He is spirit.
Ego is not the strong man. Ego is the human leftbrain articulation of that spirit of pride which is the spirit that rose up against God before time and creation. Ego is like the vestibule, the front doorbell front of house, totally controlled by and part of the rest of the house behind, but of itself , not the tail that wags the dog. Ego is Greek. It is not even a Word concept. The Word says we are spirit. With a soul. Housed in a body. That’s where talk of Ego is too front of house and doesn’t begin to get where the action is. The Christian walk is an inner journey or nothing. It is concerned with Truth. Our default as humans is lie. The gradual realisation that we are primarily spirit, when the god of this world has blinded us to think we are primarily Ego, or front of house leftbrain is one of his biggest coups.But if we are desperate enough we will look further. because we want permanent answers not sticking plasters. Adam and Eve were never sinless. This is one of the greatest fallacies there is and it keeps so many in the dark. Adam was never made in the image and likeness of God; he was formed from the DUST OF THE GROUND. I have commented about this before. I also use to believe as you do that Adam and Eve were perfect as in being made in the image and likeness of God until one day it finally hit me. Adam was formed from the dust of the ground and Eve was taken out of him, so both are as dust. When you think of dust, what do you think of? What is dust devoid of? WATER. Dust is devoid of water which is symbolic of God’s spirit and truth. So, to sum this up, God formed Adam devoid of His spirit and truth. So, Adam and Eve, which is you, me, and everyone else is devoid of God’s spirit and truth. Adam, Eve, and the serpent (satan) are all the same thing, our EGO. They are not separate entities, they work together within us and are us in this reality. Our true self is God (spirit) but we function as Adam in this reality. I for one have come to believe we will never function through our true self (God) in this reality because this reality is for our learning and maturing. This reality is our JOURNEY, not our DESTINATION. From the moment we first open our eyes at birth, our journey begins. Satan is called the God of this world/reality because this is his kingdom. Jesus said my kingdom is not of THIS WORLD/REALITY. This is another very important fact many have missed. I believe the mind generates all reality and in this realm, our carnal mind which is also Satan rules and generates everything we experience. God is still controlling the experience, but we are experiencing everything here through our carnal mind. This world is not our true home. I feel it deep within and always have just as many feel too. Our true reality is generated through the mind of Christ. We will never, ever, experience the mind of Christ in this reality and those who say they do are only kidding themselves as Jacob has pointed out. This world/reality is Satan’s kingdom and is generated by the carnal mind. The kingdom of God is not of this world and is generated by the mind of Christ. I believe when our physical bodies perish that we awaken to our true reality once we are freed from the physical brain. We are only here for a short time to gain experiences in order to mature of our spirit, out true selves. Even though we are of God’s spirit, we still must learn and mature because we are His seed, His children. This reality is where it all goes down. No matter what we experience in this reality, no matter how GOOD OR EVIL, we can never be hurt. When we wake back up to our true reality, whatever we have gone through here will be as a dream.

Chris, accordijng to scripture, the “Image of God” is Christ. Christ is the power and wisdom of God. God said, Let US make man IN OUR IMAGE (Christ). Man is made in God’s power and wisdom, Mankind is not God’s power and wisdom, but Mankind reveals God’s Power and Wisdom. I hope that makes a lick of sense. Peace to you and yours Jacob
