My Kingdom Is Not Of This World
This plans to be a very short and eye-opening essay on a simple scripture that seemed to open itself up to me within seconds of me hearing it. Tonight I had just come back from a business trip and yes it was on Easter. All morning I had been troubled because I really wanted to write something. There were so many taking to social media and making such passionate and bold statements about what they believe. I was hard to ignore all of the posts where people wrote, “He has risen” and so on and so on. I also hungered to share something, but I see the resurrection of Christ very differently. I have written extensively about this so I don’t want to weigh this paper down with more of what I have already shared.
However, I will state that there was a time when I would have also written something similar. Of course, there was a time I believed all sorts of things that I not KNOW were never true to begin with. Even so, these false beliefs were stepping-stones for me. With each step put before me I would take it. Soon I would find another step to take, and then another until I had finally matured and reached the pinnacle where I could finally understand what these things truly meant to begin with. I have written often about the allegory of scripture. How we are told in black and white that God opens his mouth in parable.
Psalm 78:2
I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
We are told how the Glory of God (the existing one or one who exists) is to conceal a thing. Which means, the glory of the one who truly exists is revealed when that which has been hidden is uncovered….
Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
The scriptures are very clear that the things of the “kingdom of God” are not easily understood… that they are in fact a mystery. A hidden truth. After all it is the Glory of God to conceal a thing and the honor of Kings to SEEK after what has been hidden.
Mark 4:11
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables
You see the mystery of the Kingdom of God has been HIDDEN within us all. So these stories we read about, whether they be literal events or not are NOT what we need concern ourselves with. It is the SPIRIT of the story that gives life… not the literal which keeps us all in darkness.
2 Corinthians 3:6
Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
And the SPIRIT of the story is the truth that bubbles into wisdom after you realize what something you have read and misunderstood in the scriptures finally means. This revelation or revealing of the truth does indeed give us LIFE… And this TREE of LIFE is the WISDOM of the TRUTH, which finally sets us free.
Proverbs 3:18
(Wisdom) She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
So not everything that you believe or have been taught is necessarily true. Even if the whole world agreed that the Earth was flat their belief and agreement doesn’t make the statement true. I do understand that many people want to feel accepted, they want people to back up what they say or claim to know. No one wants to feel alone. But I will say that the path to truth, which is found by understanding the spirit of these stories can be a lonely one at first. The reason for this is we have all been conditioned from birth to embrace greed, lust, fear, hate, judgement, status, power, wealth, fame, and so on and so on… We are fed a constant diet of how we must behave.
“It’s a dog eat dog world”
“Only the strong survive”
“Nice guys finish last”
This is why we see so many suffering. This is why there is war and prejudice and hate and every ungodly thing. Now to rail against this, one must realize it is not an easy or celebrated road. Because once you begin to see the truth that sets you free from the egotistical fear that has ruled you for too long a sense of hope and peace comes over you. You begin to see the world through different eyes. You no longer want to repay anger with anger, you want to forgive, you have hope instead of fear, when you lose something you tell the world it is all part of a greater good. You become a light in a world of darkness and the darkness doesn’t like this light very much.
John 3:20
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Once the truth if revealed to you, you glow, you stand out, you influence others, and your new-found life (For this is the resurrected life that many should celebrate), your new-found life is more precious than anything in this world.
You begin to do great and wonderful things for others and people will hate you for it. They will judge you, put words in your mouth, lie about you and try their best to extinguish that light that is burning them so bright.
John 10:32
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
And why did they want to stone him? Not because he did bad things, they admitted he did good works… they wanted him dead because he told them the truth of who he really was and they were not ready to accept who they really were in return. You see they were not children of the TRUTH, they were children of LIES. Children of this world… products of the lies in this world that formed us all…
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do
Man’s ignorant ego is an adversary indeed. The creator of all sorts of lies, because the EGO that you have convinced yourself is who you are is a lie to begin with (There is NO TRUTH in “him”)
The devil/ego abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Now this DEVIL (Ego of ours) can also come as an angel of light… We see this in almost every church service… Lies are passed off as godly truth. Yet, these lies perpetuate prejudice towards those who are different, judgement against those who don’t believe the way they are told to believe, fear in what could come, pride in the fact that you are somehow better than others… and so on and so on… Yet we know those who are of the LIGHT by how they love, and those who are yet in darkness by how they hate.
1 John 2:9
He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
When your eyes are opened you begin to see that ALL THAT IS IN THE WORLD is dangerous. And you realize that you may be IN THE WORLD but you are no longer a product of the WORLD….
Which brings me to the point of this essay. Before Jesus was to be put to death, he said something which for hundreds of years people have misunderstood… Myself being one of them…
Jesus said…
John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Now we read this and believe that Jesus has said that HIS KINGDOM is in another dimension and if the nonsense the religious had done to Jesus had been done in HIS KINGDOM there would be hell to pay! Oh yeah.. we believed Jesus said, in my Kingdom if you dared do this to me, my servant would fight you and kill you dead!
But that doesn’t really line up with Jesus’ message now does it?
You know why? Because what you think he said and what he REALLY said are two different things. Let’s look at that scripture again…
John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Jesus was asked if he believed he was King of this world and he said… MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD… meaning, his kingdom doesn’t operate the say way the WORLD’S kingdom acts…
To truly understand this, you must first understand what the “world” is that Jesus is speaking and what the word “Kingdom” means…
The word KINGDOM literally translates into “RULE, AUTHORITY… not of a literal Kingdom but the power and rule and authority a person is under when ruled by a King”… The word KINGDOM translates into WHAT RULES YOU!
No the world… well according to scripture. All that is IN the world is the Lust of the Flesh, Eyes, and pride of Life.
1 John 2:16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And who is the KING of this world… THE father of lies (your ego) himself.
The KINGDOM of THE WORLD Jesus said he was NOT A PART OF would send servants to fight and kill on a leaders behalf… BUT NOT THIS IS NOT WHAT RULES THE AWAKENED ONES HEART!
Revenge and murder and greed and power were NOT THINGS that motivated/ruled Jesus… BECAUSE he was ruled by something very different indeed… LOVE!
So Jesus never said that in his Kingdom people would fight and kill and make war to set him free… NOOOOO! Jesus was saying the opposite… Please read the passage again WITH DIFFERENT EYES.
John 18:36
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Jesus answered… I am NOT ruled by the terrible things that motivate men trapped in darkness… I am NOT ruled by hate, greed, fear, or pride… which is why no one is coming to save me or fight for me… Because MY KINGDOM is NOT of this world… I am ruled by love, peace, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, patience and wisdom… So no, My Kingdom is NOT of this world… IF IT WAS then you would see people killing in my name, or on my behalf… Because that is the way those ruled by the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and the pride of life behave… My KINGDOM is not from such a place of darkness.
This KINGDOM is WITHIN YOU! The RULE of GOD is to be RULED BY LOVE AND TRUTH! Which is why the more you see love and truth in all things, the easier it is to know the truth and love that was hiding there to begin with.
We have been taught so many things the wrong way. It is time for us to seek the truth no matter what the cost. To never give up on a life that is truly worth living… Because whether you believe it or not YOUR KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD as well… You may just not know it yet.

JACOB'S LADDER 
I saw the real hell, Dad on 2nd day in his induced coma with his temp down to the level of falling into a frozen lake, his heart attack killed his body for 20 mins and brought it back alive, brain dead 20 mins, in an induced coma. Father God showed me in the Light, Dad standing there in a grey dim light cloud, just standing there, for two days, not knowing no time there, Dad was rehashing his life, in his own hell/EGO, his light self was weak, that’s why it was so dim, his light. I read on this with others who experienced the same thing for themselves and others, some are there for years And that it took another, either in a body or not, that their light to go help them and it took great Love. As I approached my Dad while he was standing there in the dim light, he saw me and said go back, your mom needs you, as I touched dad he lit up bright and the dim light was gone, the light of me shined on him and I crabbed his hand and said dad I will walk with you as far as father will let me go with you and Dad agreed. It is no verbal talking, and no literal walking, its like gliding and we only knew we were moving because the big gated door was opened and coming closer to us, and we saw Grandma Ellie in the door and she greeted us, then Dad and grandma disappeared, and I thought dad went through the gated big door with his mom. The next day 3rd day, they unhooked dad and gave him 30 mins to live, hours later he was still with us, so the nurse and doctor said to do all we can to try to wake your dad up, we tried everything we could think of, I was so tired, I went and sat down on the sofa by dads bed, and was resting quietly and then I heard Grandma Ellie, she told me how to wake up dad, everyone was calling dad Mc, his childhood name is Billy, he was from TX, so I got his sister on the phone and I had her on my cell phone saying over and over again Billy, Billy, Billy, and dad grabbed my hand with the cell phone and held it to his ear for awhile listening to his sister, and started waking up, on the 3rd day, the doc and nurse said it was a miracle. But I witnessed his EGO fighting to live the next 11 days, til the final death. Dad told my sister that heaven didn’t want him. It was hard to talk to dad because to get him to stay focused was hard, and trying to keep him in bed or in the chair, he was so rest- less, I tried to talk with him and asked him if he knew who I was he said, “Yes, Bicky (Vicki) yachity yak, that song don’t talk back. The Ego is not a pretty thing and so much darkness. Hell after our body dies is our EGO and it makes our light self light dim , people are standing there rehashing their life, with wrong thoughts and beliefs.EGO, and it takes another light being to come help. takes great Love. I saw this in a Vision. And its on this side of the gated big door, in the tunnel of light, not really a tunnel, it looks like a tunnel because you see the gated big door far off, I have been in this light 4’xs now. I experienced death in 1996, and was in the light and moving towards the big gated door, but it would not open for me, I was taken back to my body from someone giving me CPR. Twice I have seen others in the grey cloud weak light of themselves, in EGO, in the light before the gated door. Three mos later after the death of dads body, my son Matt calls me he has had 2 dreams, and matt has never talked to me ever about what he believes or not on reincarnation, he calls me and says, grandpa is going to be born through a woman again, hes coming back, matt never thought of reincarnation before, and having two dreams on different nights, excited him and he knew I was an open minded person to tell this too. He can’t tell my Mom or my siblings, their Baptist hell fire.
When my dad after his heart attack , came back to us on the 3rd day, he was so restless, and giving orders to the boys about the list they were to do, and too me to keep saving boxes for their ebay store of Dictaphones and to take care of Mom. He couldn’t rest or sleep the next 11 days, he thought I had to drive him to work and catch a plane, he didn’t know he was retired, it was all work and orders, his mind had no peace and so many thoughts flooding him. I learned from this, that, it was his Ego fighting to survive. His body died on the 14th day from heart attack 14 days earlier and he got an infection, the EGO fought a fight, Dad had no rest or peace. He was going to a Baptist church but never really got into it, very worldly and business man.

Bob, sorry I am now just getting back to you. I must have missed this post. What is it exactly you would like me to comment about
The Kingdom of God is not of this world. That means it is not of the realm of the ego. I realize now more than ever how truly deceiving the ego can be and how easy it is to get caught in its snare. There has been much talk about manifesting your own reality, but who’s reality are we trying to manifest? Is it the ego’s reality or that of our higher nature. It has been said we are what we think and our thoughts create our reality therefore we need to only think about what we want in order to manifest the reality we want. The problem is those thoughts that create our reality are the food of the serpent in the garden. Adam, Eve, and the serpent are allegorical components that make up our ego as a whole. It is our thoughts that feed and keep the ego (our lower nature) alive. I have been told God gives us our desires. On the surface it makes sense. However if that were true, then every act no matter how heinous was fueled by the desires God gave the people who committed those acts. God says His thoughts and ways are higher than our thoughts and ways. If this is true and I believe it is, then the desires that have fueled and continue to fuel acts of hate do not come from God but come from somewhere else. That somewhere else is the ego. Within us all are two natures; the lower nature and the higher nature. The lower nature is subject to the outside world and is the god of the outside world. Jesus knew this to be true thus his statement of his kingdom not being of this world. The god of this world is our ego. The ego says I Am. The ego says I did or I will and I Am. It bows down to no one. It is king of this world. In this world we desire things we think will make us happy and content. We place our focus on material posessions and gain. Scripture says what profit is it to you if you gain the whole world but lose your soul? This means when you get wrapped up in your desires and wants, you have lost yourself. You become driven to gain those desires and as a result, you lose yourself. I want have gone back and forth on the free will thing. It is a nice thought to say I am in control, but who are we really referring too? Not one character in all of scripture had a will apart from God’s, not one. This is best illustrated with Jesus praying in the garden the NIGHT before his crucifixion. He prayed to have his cup pass from his hands. He was praying from his lower nature. We all do this when rough times come into our lives. We go to God and ask Him to save us from whatever trials and tribulations are afflicting us. That mentality is what causes the true pain and suffering we experience. We are at odds with God’s will when we are desiring the things of our ego. I am not saying having money and a big house and a great job are bad things. I am not saying God wants us to be dirt poor and have nothing. I am saying we allow ourselves to be decieved by thinking we need anything from this is outside world. As soon as the thought that we want or need anything enters our mind we have lost connection with our higher self. The way to true peace and joy is to align with God’s will. Jesus did this when he prayed, not my will be done, but yours. That was the true moment of overcoming. He overcame the wants and desires of his ego (lower nature) and submitted himself to the will of God (his higher nature). This is the true sacrifice. It is when we quit fighting against whatever circumstances come into our lives and quit trying to force our own will on things and simply say not my will, but yours, that we will find the rest and peace and true joy we all seek all the time. When we bring our will into alignment with the will of God (our higher nature), we deny ourselves (our ego) and we become one with God. When that happens, our reality will become whatever it was always meant to become. The reason why I am sharing this is because of all of the new age movements out there. They are so easy to get caught up in. There are so many self help books and articles about manifesting your reality and the law of attraction and what not. And it is all true! But it is only true for this world and for the ego. We can manifest whatever we want if we want it bad enough. It does not mean that is what we came here for. It does not mean that is what our true purpose is. So what if you win the lottery and become rich. Along with that comes the fear and anxiety of losing it all as well as all of the new friends you never knew you had that will want something from you because you have money. So what if you have a big beautiful “dream house”. Along with that comes maintenance and the risk of losing it all in a natural disaster or coming into financial trouble and later on and losing it to foreclosure. Again, none of these things are bad. What is bad is when these things, the things of this world become our end goal. I am currently in the process of buying a bigger house myself. That is actually where this is all coming from. I have spent so much of my time wanting a bigger house that I overlooked what God had already blessed me with. I spent all of my energy searching and going through houses and crunching numbers and running all kinds of scenarios though my mind and all it caused me was stress and frustration because nothing good was coming from it. And it finally occured to me why. I had placed all of my trust and faith into my ego. I had become completely dis-connected from my higher nature and completely consumed by the desires of my lower nature. Once I realized that and made the desicion to turn back and place my trust in God (my higher nature) rather than into my ego, (who I am in this world), I instantly experienced peace back in my life and my stress level went right back down as soon as I did this. What happened next really shocked me. The very next day after turning back to my higher nature and my realtor called me about a house. My realtor has never done this. We have always been the ones to search out the properties and inquire about them. Now, my home is listed and we are in the process of securing a contract on the house my realtor called us about. This was no coincidence. This was a realization, a moment of true clarity that God will provide for us what we need when we trust in Him rather than in our own ego. My wife and I may still not get this house. There are no gaurantees. Someone could come in with an offer before we can get our current property sold. However, our home is now on the market because of these recent turn of events and there is a reason for that. Everything works out exactly as it is suppose to when we quit trying to take the Kingdom by force. I am finished trying to force my will on my life. It has gotten me nowhere! From this moment forward my trust and faith will stay firmly planted in God (my higher nature) regardless of what circumstances come into my life. I know whatever comes out of this house deal, we are headed where God intends us to go. There is nothing for me (my ego) to do but REST in that great truth. The Kingdom Jesus said is not of this world is the same Kingdom we are instructed to seek. It is the same kingdom that FLESH AND BLOOD cannot inherit. The flesh and blood is the ego. The ego must be sacrificed for us to seek this kingdom otherwise we will only seek outside of ourselve and continue to dwell in outer darkness until we have finally had enough of it whether that happens in this life or one to come. The bottom line to all of this is seek first the Kindom of God and all things will be added to us. Our true desires, those of our higher nature will be manifested when we seek God’s Kingdom first.

Good one Jacob….One of the hardest things one will suffer, is the wilderness. It is that wilderness that is necessary so that Life can be seen as having dominion over death…God speaks in parables!…Jacob, if one doesnt know that then what does he know of God really? 2 words have crushed the soul of man “I believe”. When “Iam” is really all that is needed. I sat for years thinking God was doing this or that in my life til’ I actually had God doing things in my mind. There is no mistake what the Holy spirit is or the same Spirit in Jesus… You want to know why God is referred to as a strong tower that one can run into? or just what is the fixed gulf between Lazerus and Abraham and the rich man who cannot pass over it?….Ask…These are keys that are meant to take us from this world into the rule of Love or kingdom of God…Your own understanding (or your way of departing from evil) will fail..we are to wait upon the LORD. Until you become as great as John the Baptist the kingdom of God will never come….So look at the book of parables seek the answer from the God who has the answer… within you. Mercy is forever….

When your body takes its last breath the real you will not and can not die. You are not your body –you are simply wearing it like a suit of clothes and when that suit of clothes wears out you will lay it down and move on because God created you in His image and therefore you are an eternal being. Time and Space can never and will never interupt eternity.
